Dream Quickly

Design and development for Dream Quickly, the creative studio of Simeon Rose and Anne Hopkins, who write and art-direct campaigns direct for brands (Faith In Nature, Lily's Kitchen, Pip & Nut, Jägermeister) and freelance for agencies including BBH, Ogilvy, Wieden + Kennedy and TBWA. No agency in between, Dream Quickly commissioned the site directly, and the brief was to give a two-person studio a portfolio with the pace and polish of the agency-built sites they sit alongside.
I designed and built the site solo, and have kept maintaining it since 2019 — the Vue front end, the WordPress content model behind it and regular updates to keep things ticking over.
Headless WordPress, shipped static
WordPress runs the content model; pages, portfolio pieces, testimonials - but never touches production. A build step pulls everything out through the WP REST API, bakes it into static JSON, localises the images, and ships a plain static Vue app with no server-side dependency at all. That was a deliberate call for speed and feel as much as anything else: a portfolio site for two people who sell creative work needs to load instantly and move like an SPA, not wait on a database round-trip per page. It has the side benefit of taking WordPress itself out of the production attack surface entirely.
